It’s the small things. Time saver for sure, and it has been reliable.

In a time when every pc device uses a USB (A, C, mini) conection the need to connect multiple device into limited PC ports is a requirement and this one worked perfectly for my mouse, keyboard, microphone and camera. I cannot confirm it would be wise to use as a charger expander since this may overload the capacity of the AC/DC converter used.

It works very well easy to install plug in play. It’s small.

My original one star review is below but great customer service from Acer. They messaged me asking if I would like a refund even though I purchased it like 6 weeks ago. They promptly issued my refund.
Original review:
The fit is way too tight for the USB connection. After 5 weeks, the connection became unstable and didn’t recognize some USB connections. It either was spotty or would be fine for a bit but then disconnected.
Avoid this garbage!

I bought this item for the USB hub functionality. I currently have my sim racing rig parts plugged into the USB ports of this device along with a Logitech camera. The USB ports on the device are a little tight. Also, at least one port doesn’t always connect when I turn my PC on. I’ve had to reset devices a couple of times. Overall, this product serves it’s purpose, albeit finnicky at times.

I purchased this because one of the pictures in the listing for this item shows a competitor’s hub (The Anker 4-Port Ultra Slim, Model A7516) in a state of being melted from overload. The claim in the image picture is that this Acer hub has overload protection, so presumably that sort of overload melting won’t happen for this Acer hub. The overload protection in this Acer hub amounts to a couple of zero ohm resistors (acting as fuses) on the power rail. Using zero ohm resistors as fuses is not the best method of overload protection (because the resistors themselves burn up and splatter during an overload), but it is cheap and it can work. But aside from the overload protection, this Acer hub uses the GL3510 chipset, which is STT, not MTT. While the Anker hub uses either Realtek RTS5411 or RayMX RM1211, both of which are MTT compatible. Also, this Acer hub has extremely tight fitting USB ports while the Anker has tight enough ports, but they are much easier when removing a device. So, between the STT issue and the extremely tight fitting USB ports on this Acer hub, it’s not worth putting up with those two issues just to get a cheap form of overload protection. So, I’m going to stick with using the Anker hub and save this Acer hub as only a spare when MTT is not needed.

I bought this to use on a new all-in-one PC that lacks ports for accessories. It’s great except that the ports are *extremely* tight. I guess that’s better than being loose, but when I tried to remove an old flash drive the shell came off and the guts remained in the port! Fortunately I’d already copied the contents. I’d give this hub a perfect rating except for this.

This was purchased to put in my vehicle so that I can plug in multiple things that are chores now. I’m using it charge flashlight phones and dash camera. It works very well for what I’m using it for but the only issue that I had was when you plug it into the USB port on the vehicle, the radio senses that something is plugged in and it keeps trying to connect data port to the vehicle and this causes problems with the radio cutting out. Sold this problem. I have an adapter for the cigarette lighter and use that instead, and it works great. Then I bought some double-sided Velcro and stuck it into the vehicle. If you can’t guess this is a work vehicle.

Who doesn’t run out of USB ports these days. My need was to free up some ports for semi-permanent connections and this fits the bill. Four USB 3.0 ports that work. The big plus for me is the USB-C port which my desktop does not have. This is perfect. Device is well made; solid workmanship. You can’t go wrong with this.
