Brita Elite Water Filter Replacements for Pitchers and Dispensers,

I used Brita water filters for a long time. I made the mistake of trying another brand and I was very glad to use the last one of them. I didn’t know that Brita had come up with a filter that would last for a six month period. I’m trying it for the first time but it’s a Brita and I’m not trying any other brand again. I’m feel confident that I will get good use from this water filter. My water tastes better, since I’ve switched back.

This filter is truly one of the best. It’s very easy to replace, keep track of, and the filtered water is amazingly great and refreshing.

I purchased these to replace my original long last filter on my Brita pitcher. When I put these in, they only register as standard filters on the electronic indicator on the pitcher. The original one registered as “long last”. They work great but don’t register as long last.

I’ve recently switched from PUR to Brita pitchers because i found their Elite Filters. PUR and Brita both normally only lasted 2 months until this new one came out which lasts 6 months. Which got my attention as i was sick of replacing my filter almost every month for PUR.

I’ve bought a 2 pack for spares to use, but I’m still using the original filter that came with my elite pitcher, I’ve filled up 4 5 gallon jugs with this, tons of drinking water, and even use it for all cooking needs, and the filters still going strong!

The taste is definitely much better then PUR, there’s zero smell from our tap and all of the impurities are removed. We have a faucet pleated filter and after 6 months it goes from white to dark brown, so we know our city water isn’t good lol. So this helps us a lot and saves money by not buying bottled water.

I went back and forth in my mind as to whether to continue buying the standard filters or to try the Elite. I think the water quality is better with the Elite. They certainly last longer. I can tell that the interior of the standard filter starts to mold at the end of its life. This filter has been in my pitcher for about 2 months, and the water quality is the same as when I first put it in. I have not used any drinking water except for filtered water for the past 15 years and it makes a big difference. It tastes better and there are things in tap water that no one should ingest. I use it for tea and coffee as well as just plain water. My cousin also filters all the water he uses and says the same thing. You cannot guaranty the quality of the water that comes through the tap unless you purify it. With the exception of Fiji, most of the bottle water is nothing but plain tap water. It is not filtered in any way and if you read the labels, it is chlorinated. So you can either use a filter or take your chances. Think of all the plastic bottles that are not ending up in landfills. You can recycle your filters.
