Fancy Feast Cat Food.
A friend gave me part of a case of tiny cans of cat food. I figured I would try it as a treat for my two house cats as they mostly only get dry “crunchies”.
After opening a can and releasing the aroma …. Well, I’ve never seen cats dance around on their hind legs before. Now it’s not like they NEVER get anything but whatever crunchies are made of. They get meat trimmings from the kitchen every few days and they really like it when that happens.
But the Fancy Feast seemed to be a few notches above all that. It is expensive enough that they only get a spoon full each in the morning as a breakfast treat. Plus, it keeps them occupied while I get something cooked for myself.
So, they MAY eat just about anything, but the Fancy Feast is certainly at the TOP of their menu!

2.28.24~ Picky cat that can’t have guar or xanthan gum loves this.
Well~ she loves the “fancy” Fancy Feast Medley in green cans.
There was hesitation in trying the Salmon Primavera which is why I’m sharing.
Neither cat is a fan of veggies & this is well…tomatoes.
The younger one eats anything. Including bird seed ( not by my choice)
The older carnivore gets ” blocked ” with cans that have”gums” .
She is super picky. Will not eat at all vs eating what she doesn’t want.
Fancy Feast green has kinda saved me.
Started wth Chicken. Was super cheap & adding water makes gravy.
Then the Florentine Selection. Chicken and Tuna were big hits. Turkey not so much.
Wth the 2nd cat and other commitments, budget is important.
They were tired of White Chicken medley after 3 mon, which is in brown gravy.
This Salmon Florentine was the only one on budget.
Between me & you, I canceled on Subscribe & Save twice then clicked.
Both cats are like crack heads with this food.
Just like other Fancy Feast Medleys you can add water to get Must- have gravy.
They even eat it reheated.
12 cans in and they are mini stalkers searching for an extra serving.
As long as it stays under 20 bucks for 24 cans (and isn’t turkey) FF is a keeper.

This size can works better if you only have one cat. When she had a litter, I went through more and larger cans were effective. I use a can opener that lifts the entire lid from the body, and can reseat it till she finishes each. She likes different flavors so I get a multi mix of Purina mostly via Amazon for her. This is one she likes. I have so many flavors, I designated a shelf with cut outs of the boxes for image, color and description and taped them for inventory control. Refrigerate open cans if they are not likely to be finished in one day even when resealed with my method. Using lift off lids warps them and does not maintain freshness.

I feel better about my cats eating canned food as opposed to kibble because they are obligate carnivores. Kibble is like cereal or cake. If you only ate cereal and/or cake every day you would develop diabetes too. A lot of cats develop diabetes or renal (kidney) problems. I only gave 4 stars to the ingredient quality because I know better. Raw food as in raw ground meat that has the proper amount of nutrients is actually the premium diet for cats but I can’t afford that so I get Fancy Feast. At first I would just get them from the store in the pet aisle but to my surprise the store wouldn’t always have them! They might have grilled but not the pate version that our cats are so used to. When we’re running low, we just order a case and we get it guaranteed! No need to go to a bunch of different stores to hunt this down! Also, our cats love the different flavors. We also get the 30 pack of seafood Fancy Feast pate so there’s 6 different flavors! Yes, we try to spoil our cats.

I hesitated purchasing because it is so expensive but I tried it out and my cat loves it and she’s very picky. So I now continue to feed her dry food and I give her half a can in the morning and the other half for dinner. She loves it and it’s like a treat for her so basically I give her 1can per day or now she loves the fancy Feast Medley variety like Primavera with vegetables and it’s healthy for them not too much fat in it give it a shot your cat. Love you.

My cat’s favorite cat food flavor is salmon. He will eat other Purina Fancy Feast fish/shrimp flavors. Since he had only been given Fancy Feast Pate, I decided to see if he would like the Purina Fancy Feast Grilled Wet Cat Food Salmon and Shrimp Feast in Wet Cat Food Gravy as a change of pace. As soon as I opened the can, he smelled it and came running. My cat devoured all of it! I will make sure I purchase this as a change of pace for my spoiled kitty!♥

My two cats eat half of a can twice a day. This price from Amazon was better than I can buy from the two different grocery stores close to me
and it’s nice to be delivered to my house!

My cat literally throws up everything else except this. Even if it’s the same brand but different flavors. I wanna mix it up for her but she seems to really like this. It’s a bit pricey tho
