Don’t use baby oil if you don’t like these. It’s dangerous for your eyes. To me, these biodegradable pads do seem scratchy but they aren’t meant to be used by rubbing. When I just left them on the eye about 10 seconds, the waterproof eye makeup came off easily and I could use the other side of the pad for the other eye. I had been using bottled eye makeup remover by target and it was making the skin under my eyes all red. The almay did not irritate my skin or eyes at all. I see many bad reviews and I guess everyone is different. But,I love these.

At first I was very unhappy with this product. The pads have changed from what they used to make. They feel rather rough and scratchy. But, they clean my eye makeup off so quickly, faster than my former pads. I do not have to press hard, and in one or two swipes my makeup is gone. I have gotten used to the pads and have decided I really do like this product. Also, I used to avoid the oily version, as it was too oily, but this one feels quite nice and hydrating on my eyes, and it wipes off easily. I will purchase this again.

This product works very well to clean up eye makeup for a clean line. It has an oily feel and seems to leave residue which I wipe off. Maybe one of the other forms would be better. I got the one with the lavender colored lid.

I got this on accident. It is awful and slimy. You might as well just rub baby oil on your eyes. And, the pads did not take off the makeup easily. It took several eye lashes with it when I tried to get the mascara off. Thank God I didn’t use fake lashes yesterday. Normally, I get the oil free one with the picture of the cucumber on it. That one works great and the eye makeup comes right off. It doesn’t leave any slimy film. Get that one instead of this monstrosity.

I read on a blog that this eye makeup remover is great for removing false eyelashes. It works like a charm! I probably wouldn’t use it daily for eye makes up however since it is pretty oily.

It’s micellar water. One could just use the micellar water from the bottle on a pad. Their not super at cleaning eye make up, but there’s not much choice if you don’t wish to use oil. They’re adequate.

I have sensitive skin and need moisturizing around my eyes. These work well on taking off mascara while keeping eyelids protected from dryness. It takes multiple times to loosen mascara, depending on how thick it’s applied. I use one pad to remove mascara and eyeshadow from both eyes so they last for 2+ months. The last one starts as moist as the first so they didn’t dry out!! Very gentle on the eyes!!

They do work to remove Waterproof mascara. Pad can be a bit rough if used to aggressively. Also, I like to squeeze some of the oil out before rubbing on my eye. Some of the oil may get into your eye but it does not hurt or sting. I just used a dry soft facial tissue to dab excess oil from eye.

This eye makeup remover does precisely what it says and easily removes my water proof mascara. However, it leaves behind a very oily residue… often I don’t want to remove all my mascara, just touch up a place that’s rubbed off/smudged; however, if you use this the oily residue just causes more mascara around it to smudge and you end up having to fully wash it off.
I have found that if I take a square of folded toilet paper or a q-tip and rub it across the makeup remover pad I can use that to do the touch ups and it doesn’t leave behind as much of the oily residue for just the touch up stuff. Kinda annoying to have to do that, but if you want something that will easily take off your hard to remove makeup this is it.
Also nice that it doesn’t irritate my skin (and I have very sensitive skin being a ginger).
